As part of the course,readers will view the Frontline film titled Lost in Detention, as well as a short video clip highlighting key points found in the Applied Research Center(ARC) Report Shattered Families: The Perilous Intersection of Immigration Enforcement and the Child Welfare System. Readers will become familiar with how immigration law impacts social work practice and be provided with an overview of NASW policies and standards pertaining to immigration and practice.Throughout the content, readers are provided with relevant resources.
All courses meet the qualifications for LCSW, LMFT, and LPCC licenses as required by the California BBS. All ofthe online courses available on this website are approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB).
