This position is grant-funded; and it will be a permanent exempt appointment.
Position Description:
Under direction, this position serves as Senior Planner & Policy Analyst of Violence Prevention & Intervention in the Department of Children, Youth and Their Families (DCYF) performing duties requiring a considerable amount of independent judgment on program and administrative matters, policy, and community and multi-agency partnerships related to violence prevention. Incumbent will plan, organize, lead and/or participate in complex, sensitive, and detailed analytical work in the areas of contract administration, legislative and administrative policy. Incumbent will coordinate and lead in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act-funded project implementation and evaluation, conduct project analyses, prepare reports and records, and perform related duties as required. This position will assist to promulgate the department’s priorities and policies, and gather information, opinions and concerns that may affect violence prevention service delivery or policy development.
